Illinois Title Companies
Chicago has long been known for handing out political
favors to businesses like Illinois title companies in exchange for political
support. Most recently, in December 2009, the governor of Illinois was
charged with trying to sell a recently vacated Senate seat to the highest
bidder. Illinois title companies must do business on the up and up in
order to avoid bad press.
Exchanging government business or political favors is not unique to
Chicago. However, in the last decade Chicago has received a lot of high
profile bad public relations from the press, so Illinois title companies
would be well served to keep their books clear of any wrongdoing. If
they do not, they will find themselves on the wrong side of public attention.
Because the latest president, Barack Obama, hails from Illinois the
press will continue to focus on corruption in the state. Illinois title
companies should maintain transparency if asked about their records.
In the long run this will only help business.
